Sentiment stickers….

Hello friends.

I’m back today with a whack of cards to share.  A while back I got a Jen Hadfield sticker pack from Love is in the Details that was 6 pages of sentiment stickers for making cards.  Sentiments like, Thank you, Hello, Congrats, Celebrate, Thinking of You and Happy Birthday.  All the most common ones we need right?  I figured they would help me make short work of creating a bunch of cards in very little time.

Because of the color theme of the sticker pack, I decided that kraft cardstock would go with all of them, so that was the base from which each card was built.  Either the card base, the card panel and/or some embellishments would be kraft.  Then I pulled out my container of leftover bits and pieces of unused embellishments or die cuts or other shapes that had no other place to call home.  I also decided that my embossing folders had been neglected so I pulled out a few of those.  Beyond that, there are no special techniques I used, just piled on some of this, and combined it with some of that and finished up with 8 cards.  You only see 7 here because I made two of the white star embossed card for friends who are graduating this year.  I’ll just post each of the cards here for you to see and hopefully use for some inspiration for your own card making.

Mini album kit

I have been looking at these flowered bags for quite some time, and this past weekend I decided to use them to create a little mini album kit.  The finished album would be perfect for a gift for a friend, daughter, Mother (Mother’s Day), Easter, a Just because gift, or just to keep for yourself.  In a minimal amount of time you would have it finished and ready to admire.

album-1

To make the album, I folded the bags different ways, added some pieces of different sized patterned paper to make extra pages, and then sewed the edges together.

album-2

I printed my photos on my Canon Selphy, I just love that little printer.

album-3

I am really glad I added the extra patterned paper pages, it allowed me to add so much more to the album.

album-4

In the pockets (or ends of the bags that show), I have different project life cards that I am using for journaling.  I have decorated the cards with some die cuts.  In the pockets you could also add some extra photos.

album-5

Haha, the small picture of Paul … he does not like that picture at all, but everytime I see it it makes me smile … so it just had to go in this album.

album-6

These two, Justin and Katherine, it’s so hard to get pictures of them, but I was actually able to find a few to add to this album.  I am guessing in the left picture that Justin wasn’t really wanting his picture taken - nice smile!  ;)

album-7

Couldn’t have a family album without Zero.  I love the black and white photos of him, (and think maybe I should have matted them on white cardstock - I still may lift them and do that).

album-8

Yes, Zero is quite spoiled.

album-9

These pages, with the double pocket on the left, they were perfect for me to put pictures of Chantel and I, and to do a little journaling to talk about how much we are alike.  If you look at the top two pictures, it’s easy to see how much we also do look alike.  And yes, even she had to admit it.

album-10

These are the two cards I have tucked inside the pockets (before journaling)

These two pictures of Justin and Katherine …

album12a

and these two pictures of Chantel are top on my list of favorites.

album-13a

And another added journaling card to fit in that pocket beside Chantel’s photos.

album-14

And last but not least, Paul and I.  The picture on the left is Paul’s absolute favorite picture of us.

album-15

And I am not sure which pictures are my favorite.  *grin*
