Pretty Party Decor…

Last fall I did a gargantuan and praise-worthy purge of my craft supplies and because I couldn’t completely part with everything just yet, I stored it all in boxes in the guest room until my daughter and MIL could go through them and take what they wanted.   As my daughter recently combed through it all, she brought to light some leftover Inky Antics honeycomb paper that I had JUST seen a cute idea for!!  See?  How fortuitous was it that I hadn’t actually got rid of that stuff 6 months ago!!  Then I couldn’t have executed this cute idea!  (I think this is the exact scenario that haunts hoarders, am I right?)

Anyway.  I really didn’t have an occasion to make this for, but I didn’t let that stop me.  (On an unrelated note: If anyone knows of someone who is decorating for a small boy’s birthday party….or some such….I have some items they might be interested in…)

I cut circles of all sizes, squares, hearts and even used some fancy Spellbinder dies to create some “chinese lantern-like” shapes.

I glued them to a string, combining colors or leaving them singular, and this is the cute result!  Check with Lori as to what colors of honeycomb paper she still has in the store.  Or failing that, what can be ordered in for you.

If you want more cute ideas, just type honeycomb paper into the Pinterest search bar.  And be prepared to lose some time before resurfacing.

Mr B didn’t hate that we had to have a party for no reason.   He thinks that should totally be a thing now.
