New Beginnings

Good Morning!

4eb72cd7a596676d03ecc8045a3d870b

Today, it is with an extremely heavy heart that I announce my resignation as an employee of Love is  in the Details as well as a member of the Love is in the Details design team - effective immediately.

Due to circumstances beyond my control, I’ve made the decision to leave my position and move on to bigger & better things. I hoped this was a job I could grow in and build a life around, but that’s not the case. I’m heartbroken to have to choose to leave the only job I’ve ever loved, but I need something stable in order to support me and my family (i.e. Ryan and my two cat babies).

To all of the beautiful people I’ve met here at LIITD: thank you for allowing me to get to know you, teach you, learn from you, help you, and create with you. There’s nothing quite like the connection between 2 people that scrapbooking brings. I’ll miss seeing you everyday and being able to visit with you.

With that said, just because I’m done here doesn’t mean I’m done being creative! I don’t think I could ever give up my creativity again - no way! You can follow me here, here, or here if you’d like to follow along on my creative journey.

I’m fortunate to be in an excellent place both mentally & physically right now, and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for me! Ryan and I will be staying in the area (moving to Morden in the Fall) so I’ll see you locals around!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting me and allowing me to share my life with you.

I miss you!

It’s been two weeks since we closed, and it seems like it’s been a lot longer than that.  I miss you! It’s just not the same when I don’t get to see and hear from all of you.  This card that Norine made says it all … it’s so true …

miss-your-face

The finishing of the store is moving along, it’s been a learning experience for me … I find myself saying a lot of this ….

What happens next? When do you do this?and my favorite …………………………….. ohhhhhh that looks awesome! *grin*

Remember in this post here when I showed you a picture of my future office window?  Well, here is a couple of sneak peeks of what has happened since then.

office-1

What a difference it made when this happened.  When the taper was there, it was so humid and muggy out that I had to go and rent a heater so that it would dry in time for the next step.  Wow it got hot in there, but it worked.  The furnace can’t be turned on at this point as there is too much dust in the area.  Thankfully, it didn’t take long to cool off again, or the painter would have cooked.  lol

office-2

And here is that same space painted … not a great picture … but I don’t want to give away too much, as I want it all to be a surprise when it’s finished.

This new space is so different then the “old store” (wow, it seems odd to say that).  In the “old store” there was the store space, the teaching room, and the office/storage/furnace all in one room.  It’s going to be so different and so nice to have an actual office without storage and a furnace in the same room.  I am loving the open space of the store, it looks so HUGE, in fact I think I could do laps and get a good long walk in, lol.

There’s a little update of what’s happening at the new store … and it’s time now for me to finish my coffee and start packing some more things here at home.  Cause yes, we are also moving out of our house at the same time.  Yep, call us crazy, but in our life it seems everything happens at once.  And you got it, that means my scrap space is being packed up and I will have future blog posts of how I set up my new space, which is going to be very different than what I have now.  (by the way, packing is NOT fun)

Hope you are having a great summer … can’t wait to see you all again soon!
