From Mrs. Claus

Using the December kit - Chance of Flurries, I completed this adorable train. The Collage Press Joyride papers worked perfectly. Although it was not finished in time for Christmas, I still love it and will leave it out now for a little while - we have to have time to eat the candies, right? *grin* Click on picture for larger view.

Tagged!

Well, that was cool, I have never been tagged before.  Melanie has tagged me, Chelsea, Amber, Melissa, Lisa, and Cindy and we are to show you our most favorite projects from 2009.

That was an eye opener for me - because when I went to search - it made me realize how little time I do spend scrapping.  However, I do have these to show you - my favorites for 2009.

Loved the mask technique in this layout - tons of fun to do.

I just did this before Christmas for Chantel's wall.

Working with the Sassafrass papers was a challenge for me.

Made this just before Christmas too - with the December kit.

On a rare occasion, I scrap myself and Paul.

I really love the dazzlers and want to do more projects with them.

For me, I would have to say - the beginning and the end of 2009 were when I scrapped the most.  Somewhere in the middle there was not much scrapping happening here.

I’m going to change that - in 2010 I am going to scrap more - wanna join me?

Too much snow ….. and

a couple more things to share.  Firstly, I gotta say ….. Wow, what a pile of snow we got over Christmas.  It started snowing Christmas Eve, and we were snowed in until the plows got out yesterday.  I don’t know how much we had in total - but I do know that the bank in front of our house and along the driveway was pretty high - almost at Paul’s chin.

Paul shoveled out all along the front of the house - Zero needed a pathway - and left the driveway for the snow blower.  It was so heavy on the driveway people were stopping to have a look.

Next, I have to show you ….. and I am kind of embarrassed but ….. here is the couch and chair we have been sitting on for the past 4 years.  We also had a black leather couch in this room as well - testing out the leather to see if we liked it.  What a mix match of furniture it has been in our living room.  We have been searching and searching for a new set, but up until now we have not found anything we liked.  Here is the set we have been using ….. which ended up at the end of the driveway ….. and no one came and took it, haha, I can’t imagine why, can you?  *giggle*

And this is what we finally found.  I have wanted a red couch - well a “hue” of red for so long, and I never ever thought that Paul would agree - until he found this set.  Couch and loveseat - the first photo shows the color as best as I can get it.

and this is the loveseat - and *grin* - you betcha - Zero loves it too.

and the chair.  We could have ordered the matching red chair, but I found this one, and we both loved it.

Quite an improvement eh?  *haha*  It has been one long search, but I am so glad that we waited and found exactly what we both liked.  It was our Christmas present to each other, and all of next years presents too, lol.

Next, I have to say ….. Star Trek, I did watch it - and you know what - it’s not that bad.  Not what I thought it would be at all, I was not counting the minutes till it was over, I actually kind of enjoyed it.  But, I did get revenge - many many chick flicks.  Thanks so much for your help!  And do you remember the movie “The Christmas Shoes?“  Did you know there was a sequel- “The Christmas Blessing?”  The Christmas Shoes is one of my most favorite Christmas movies and I was so surprised when I realized there was a part two to this, actually came across it by accident.  We watched, it was good, and Paul watched it too.  *wink*

And lastly, this week we are counting stock at the store, you can still order, but your orders will not ship until Monday, the 4th of January.  And, you all know what that means ….. after the counting of the stock, we have a great big SALE.  I will post more details later.
