Presents for your Pets?

Do you have a pet? If so, does he/she get a present for Christmas? At our house, you betcha - Zero gets a present, probably more than one.

One thing he gets for sure is chocolate covered milk bones from The Chocolate Factory. These are safe for dogs - chocolate dipped dog biscuits and he loves them. Quote from The Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory - “WOOF! WOOF! Yes we even offer white chocolate dipped Dog Biscuits for your favorite dog. Containing no cocoa or caffeine these biscuits are safe for your dog, though they may be addictive dogs love them so much!”

He usually gets some kind of toy, and some kind of ball - and yes, a big box of honey nut cheerios to go into his treat ball. My Dad used to buy him something, and Paul’s Mom also knitted him things - like an afghan for his bed, a pillow, etc. Yes, Zero is one spoiled dog.

Zero prefers soft longer toys that he can shake around - when he is playing by himself - something like this one.  When he is playing with us, he likes to have a small soft ball for us to toss.

I’m interested, do your pets get Christmas goodies?  And, *grin*, does your dog “give” presents for Christmas?  Zero has been known to give everyone a little gift.

Favorite Christmas Music

Today I have been doing a bunch of different things, and the Christmas music has been playing in the background while I have been busy. What Christmas songs do you have playing when you are wrapping, baking, cleaning, or just simply relaxing. These are a few of my favorites.

This weekend, I am not getting near as much done as I would like, but I am enjoying the weekend. I think that soon I have to make a list of what is left to do. How’s the weekend going for you?

Homemade Christmas Crackers

Do you put a Christmas Cracker on everyone’s plate for Christmas dinner? Growing up, we always did, and I did continue on with the tradition for quite a few years with my kids, but, I have to say, over the past few years, I have not. I found my “cracker” parts today, and I have put them with my Christmas things, as next year I am going to make them - funny looking tissue paper crown hats and all.

At least when you make your own, you can personalize the little gift that goes inside, and also make them much more affordable than some of the ones you see in the stores. I know I have been quite disappointed with some of the ones I have bought. Here is some pretty simple instructions on how to make them.

What have you been up to today? Have you been relaxing, shopping, wrapping, decorating, baking, entertaining? I did a little shopping this morning, then some cleaning and organizing, then some visiting - and had some good laughs and some great fun - really good times. It was an awesome afternoon.

I just finished doing a little more organizing and cleaning - that’s how I came across the “crackers” and got on this subject. But now I think I am going to make a cup of hot chocolate, and try and find a good old Christmas movie to watch.

Hope you are having a great Saturday!
