*Missed the Boat* Online Crop

That’s right, it starts today - the Missed the Boat* Online Crop.  Woohoo!  All information is right here.

Why is it called the *Missed the Boat” Online Crop* - well, because in Miami, Manitoba - today, Saturday, June 12, 2010 - the actual Love is in the Details *Scrapbooking Cruise Crop* is going on.  So, for those of you that have *Missed the Boat* - there is something for you to do as well.  I love it - it’s kind of like everyone is scrapping together - and what could be more fun than that.

I hope all of you have a blast, I will be checking in on Sunday to see how everyone is doing and find out what you have been working on!  Until then ……….

*Happy Scrapping Everyone*

Christmas Projects? Iphones/Cell Phones?

How are you doing?  Are you getting any done?  Did you forget about this contest or have you been too busy?  I did manage to get two different things done in the first few days of January, but I haven’t got back to anything else yet, but I am hoping to this weekend.  Two things I need to get done (BG calendars) - as they need to get up.

Kaisercraft Stars - approximately 6" x 6"

Kaisercraft Stars - approximately 6" x 6"

Kaisercraft Star Wreath

Kaisercraft Star Wreath

These projects were fun to make, I am very happy with the results - they didn’t take long to complete and they are very sturdy.  I think the little stars would look nice on an end table at Christmas time.  The wreath, although it maybe doesn’t look like it - is a full size wreath for your door.  I haven’t decided whether I need to put something else on it or not.  What do you think?

This evening on the forum, we were talking about iphones.

Do you have an iphone?  If you do, why do you like it?  If you don’t, would you like one? ….. or maybe the question should be ….. why do you not want one?  I’m curious, I would love to have one - but with the service we get here, we can’t - it would be too costly.

And, another question, do you have a landline phone and a cellphone - or just a cell phone - which you use as your only phone?

Again, where we live, we have to have a landline - as the service is so crappy - sometimes our cell phones don’t work.  I think if I lived where I could just have a cell phone, I might just try that.  But, would your cell phone lose it’s charge fast - if you talked too long?

Pretty Cool Gift with Riff Raff

Chantel’s room is painted now - it looks really cool - 4 different bright colors - opposite walls - lime green and blue - opposite walls - orange and fuchsia pink.  On her orange wall she needed something as it was pretty bare.  It worked out well, as I needed another gift for her, and I really wanted to make her something for one of her Christmas gifts.

I took 5 of these from Riff Raff Designs

and a bottle of Diamond Glaze

and a Licorice Pixee Stix

and I got this awesome wall art.  She is going to love it.

It’s a pretty good size with them all together - as each one is about 12″ long.  The wall was pretty blank, so I needed to use 5 of them.  This glitter worked awesome, I just love how well it stuck to the diamond glaze and how far the one tube went.  This project did not take me long to complete, not much mess, I had fun and enjoyed doing it.  I will for sure do this again.

So, tomorrow is Christmas Eve.  What last minute things do you need to do?  Is everyone in your house getting excited?
