Good morning friends!  I’m back again today with a layout that showcases a few products from the store plus a technique that we’ll be trying in the upcoming DIY Embellishments class in Sept!

The first thing I want to show you is how to make an embellishment from a piece of patterned paper.

I cut out the leaf I wanted to use, and cut closely around the edge of the whole leaf.

Then I used Copic markers to accentuate some shading on the leaf.

Next, I covered one half of the leaf with Glossy Accents.

Here’s how it looks all finished.

It’s a technique that has no limit for possibilities.  Take a look through your patterned papers and you’ll see any number of different designs that you can cut out and add extra oomph to with some Glossy Accents.

And then there’s this fun watercolor painted tag!  It’s a product from Amy Tangerine, and there are about 6 different designs, with two of each, in the package.  I love how you can paint these to match whatever your project color scheme is.

That blue/green watercolored strip along the bottom of the photo?  It’s a cut off from some card I made a very long time ago…but I don’t like to throw out pieces like this.  And today I’m especially glad I didn’t, because it’s a perfect addition to complete this layout.

Some of the products I used on this layout are Crate Paper Oasis (the gold title words), Pink Paislee Outfitters (the Go Jump in the Lake puffy sticker), Illustrated Faith (the white enamel hearts and some of the washi tape), Fancy Pants Office Suite (label die cuts) and several Studio Calico stickers, and phrase chipboard.  I dug into some OLD stash for that book plate from Junkitz who haven’t been in business for many years.  The star vellum photo mat is from a DCWV foiled vellum stack, and the background paper for the whole layout is Kaisercraft Mermaid Tails and there may even be some of that line left in the store.

Thanks for stopping by today and enjoy the rest of your day!
