You would have to be forgiven for thinking we’re talking construction today, but phewf, nope, it’s all paper, ink and colors. Same as every time.
What I’m actually referring to, are the stack of Stamper’s Anonymous/Tim Holtz Blueprints stamps I finally pulled out and played with. I’ve had them a long time and I still love them, and actually had to go online and search to see if there are any new ones I didn’t have and needed! I’m also playing a lot these days with a new-to-me markers - the Kuretake Zig Real Brush Markers. I stamped on Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper, so when I color on it with the Zig markers, the color doesn’t soak in as quickly as I’m used to with watercolor paper, so I could use my water brush to move the color and create beautiful shading. That said, you could do the same with Tomboy or Distress markers.
I started off playing with the baby set of blueprints stamps. So cute. I made the cards pictured above but then I got thinking how they would make such a cute framed set for a new baby gift. Like so:
So then I got thinking how cute would a framed set of fall leaves be for some seasonal home decor?
Or how about a set of school related images for a teacher gift?
And then there was the beach/ocean/seashell blueprints stamps…? I found a black plastic frame for that one, spray painted it white, and sanded the edges for that fun shabby chic look.
And finally, I framed a set of birthday themed images - also Blueprints stamps.
Lori has carried these stamps in the store in past, and you may have a set in your stash right now, that is begging to be used. If not, she is able to order them in again, but be careful, there are SO many cute designs in a variety of sizes. You’ll have a hard time picking just one!
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a great rest of your day!
