Hi everyone! It’s a brand new year and I feel like I should have thought of making something fantastically New Years-ish to show you, but I didn’t, so here you go! Another layout! *grin
When I got this paper pack from the store and went through the die cuts I saw all the cool pieces that reminded me of my cool brother and his cool motorcycle and the cool fund-raiser bike ride he went on in September. We have a history of both prostate cancer and men’s mental health issues in our family, so I am very proud of him for doing his part to raise awareness and funds for the care of both issues!
I also felt like using watercolor paints again, so I started by designing and cutting out the layout’s title on the Silhouette.
Then I used the negative of that to faintly outline the letters in pencil and fill them in with watercolor paints.
Then I went to crazy town with the paint splatters!
Next up, I laid down a background of various rubber stamped images to balance the inked outlines on the letters and some splatters.
Then I did a bit of embellishment layering (also known as desk clean up), added the journaling and called it good. Some of the products I used here are Prima Marketing watercolor paints (Decadent Pies set), Kaisercraft Barber Shoppe patterned papers, die cuts and wood veneers, Carabelle Art Stamps, Carpe Diem washi tape, Jillibean alphabet stickers, and miscellaneous bits and pieces found on my desk.
Thanks for stopping by today!! I hope you’re having a great 2017!! Cheers!!
