the Best Thing

I would like to share with you my latest layout.  I made it using Blue Fern Studios Love Stories collection. I have to tell you that this paper is wonderful to work with if you are using multi medium compound as it is heavy and doesn’t bow.  I took the star stencil. Lori did have the stencil in the store and I am very sure she could get it in again for you. I promise you wouldn’t regret getting it as it is a great stencil to have! I added the stencil in various places around the paper and put it aside and let it dry. (This is a very important step)  When it was dry, I tore a strip off the bottom and added a piece underneath with some daisy lace attached to it.  I inked the edges of the original paper using ground expresso distress ink. I made the frame behind the photo next.  I used  a Spellbinders Fleur de Elegance die and cut a piece of card stock.  I added the multi medium to the die cut and let it dry.  I sprayed it with some Lindy’s stamp gang spray and let it dry. When it was all dry, I added some antique glitter in various places around the piece.  I cut it up and added it under my photo. I added Prima flowers and stems and leaves around the photo.  I took the the little flowers at the bottom and added mercury glass stickles to the centres of the flowers. Let this step dry as it is very easy to smudge this if it’s not completely dry (ask me how I know this).  I finished by adding a little bit more of stickles to the star stencil just to pull it all together.
