Good morning!  I wanted to share a layout that features Blue Fern Studios papers.  I just can’t say enough good things about these papers. The backround paper is called Concerto.  I liked the fact that the paper looks layered and vintage… 2 things that I can’t get enough of.  I added some more layers of papers from the Love Story line. I added some lace and rhinestones and a flower cluster.  The flowers are all Prima.  The  white flowers were inked with various shades of pink distress ink.  See all the hearts around the layout?  I will let you in on a little trick how I made them. I took a piece of grunge paper and attached vintage fabric to it with a glue stick.  I ran it through the Vagabond and cut out the various heart shapes using the Sizzix heartfelt die. It cut the fabric and the grunge paper like a dream!!  I inked the edges and some of the hearts with various shades of pink distress ink and adhered them around my layout. I love the effect the fabric gives to the overall layout.  I even tucked the hearts into the white flowers in the cluster.  I really like the stability the grunge paper gave to the fabric before I ran it through the Vagabond.  I will definitely use grunge paper again in this way in the future.

Cute old folks….

I have an anniversary coming up soon, and the last time I was in Lori’s store, I brought home with me, one of the cutest stamp sets out there!!  It’s called Forever My Always by Stamping Bella.  I just had to color it and make a card.  For said anniversary.  It’s perfect.  Because me and Mr B look just like these two!

My kids got me a set of 150 PrismaColor pencils for my birthday and they’ve hardly been used this summer so I decided to make them the medium for this stamp.  I’m looking forward to trying this stamp (and a couple of other cute one’s that followed me home) with markers or watercolor.  Stay tuned for that!  I also decided my scissors hadn’t had a workout in a while, so I fussy cut the finished image and popped it up on the front of the card with dimensional adhesive.  The background paper is from the Chickaniddy Crafts 365 Collection pad.  And zip zap zoop, my card was done!

Thanks for stopping by today!
