Dabbling in gold …

Hello everyone … and happy Sunday!  Last fall we brought in a new and different product to the store, and we have had a lot of fun playing with it.  Over the last couple of months I have been dabbling in this product and finding out that there are many different ways to use it.  To introduce you to Maya Gold, I have created this candle holder class which gives you many different options - colors~design~embellishing.

The product is so fun and easy to use, and very quick to dry, I love it.  For the pieces I show you today, please know that the addition of the word LOVE, the gears, hearts, etc. - they are not permanently adhered and coated.  I have left them only temporarily adhered as I will be demonstrating with them for the class.

Some of you have asked me to do a “Let’s get ready for Christmas” six months of classes … and this class is Month 1 of the next six months of preparing and getting things done for the Christmas season.  Not only can you create a unique set for your home, you can create different sets for people on your Christmas list.

But, you may only want to make one set for yourself, and that’s just fine too.  I love the options, being able to use different pieces on them, leaving them plain, adding embellishments … even using battery operated candles or real candles.  The battery operated candles give you the option to put them anywhere in your home or give them to anyone.

You can create just on one side, on all four sides, however you would like to make them … that’s the fun part … you can decide.  Maybe the front will be for everyday … and the back will be for Christmas.  Chantel wants to make a set with the Eiffel tower on the side, I know someone who wants to make a set using the deer trio die, and someone else wants to make them for centerpieces at their wedding by putting their initials on the side … the options are endless.  Think of who you could make these for … and you may just stroke a few gifts off your list.

This class is being given in March … the class information is here.  You will have the option of purchasing additional sets for you to take home and design.  We have some colors in the store, but holding the class off until March so we can refill our stock to give you a wide assortment of color choices.

And lastly, before I sign off … I wanted to wish everyone a Happy Valentine’s Day.  We have this ever so cute heart pocket die in the store, and this gorgeous Happy Valentine’s Day die.  If you would like to have one made, or come in to the store to make one, please let us know.
