What do you love most?

It’s February and that means it’s the ‘Month of Love’ or at least that’s what we call it around here!  So for today I’m going to share with you (and I don’t think anyone who knows me will be surprised) my the scrapbook product I love MOST…..Dies!  Yes Tim Holtz Dies are at the top of that list, but there are many brands out there that I love as well.

For me dies allow me to really think outside the box (or in it depending on the project) and just let my creativity flow freely.

I was surfing around Pintrest and found a couple pins that used the Tim Holtz Postage Stamp Frame Die to create a shadow box and I knew I had to make one!!  I cut the Postage Stamp Frame die twice from Chipboard, once with the Sized Rectangle Movers & Shapers die for the front.  The ‘box’ portion was created with 1″ strips of the same chipboard.

I covered all the chipboard pieces with pattern paper which was also cut using the same die.  Next I cut out the Tim Holtz Caged Bird die using Grunge Paper, because I wanted it to curve and be dimensional which Gunge Paper will provide better than regular paper or chipboard.

The butterflies were cut from scrap paper using Tattered Lace dies, I cut four butterflies in total and layered them for extra dimension, and finished them off with some pearls.  The Tattered Lace dies are a fairly recent addition to the store and they are gorgeous, you have to check them out!!

The final touches were these leaves cut from a Memory Box die, with some Peeled Paint Distress Stickles added for a little sparkle, and this gorgeous burlap flower by Petaloo!

BTW if you are a DIE lover too be sure to check out the store….Lori just added some new Memory Box dies today!!!
