Remember the Details

Posted by Norine on April 7, 2013

So you might have heard that we hosted a bridal shower last week for my daughter-in-law-to-be!

It kind of consumed me for the last month, but I had fun planning and hunting for and pulling together and executing and creating so many cute/fun details in an effort to make it a bridal shower she’d never forget!  To help with that, I made up this little journal and gave it to her at the shower.  I happened upon it at a vintage market a few weeks earlier, and while it isn’t especially vintage, it was the perfect color and theme to match the shower details!

Basically, I just divided the book into about 6 sections (or so), put a punched page tab on the edge and then adorned the “title” page for each section.  I’ll let the photos show you what I did.

This section is where one of her bridesmaids listed all the gifts she received,

and then we passed the book around so that the guests could all write their addresses down, making it easier for Amy to send out her thank yous.

In this section of the book, guests could also write some inspiring words to share with Amy and Jeff.

I left a couple of “chapters” of the book unlabeled, so that Amy can use it for jotting down any details she particularly wants to remember.  We plan to print some photos of the occasion and will adhere them into the book as well, to remind her of what a special day it was.
