Creative Sunday - Norine

Hi y’all, Norine again, with some fun fall leaves!  Where I live (Arizona) we don’t get fall so much and I miss it.  Actually, we get fall from Dec through Feb, it’s winter we don’t get.  And I’m not trying to be smug, we do kind of miss winter a little tiny wee bit.  But what I really miss are the fall colors, the reds, golds and browns of falling leaves, their crisp crunch underfoot, and the call of the Canada Geese leaving to go south!!

Well, I found a way to use scrapbook supplies to create a substitute for one of those things!  The crisp, crunchy brown leaves!  Tim Holtz makes a brown glassine paper (available in the store), that when crumpled and run through a die cut machine with the Sizzix leaves die, makes a very acceptable, (not likely to rot or crumble) brown leaf!  I added a touch (literally) of gold and copper Perfect Pearls Powder to add some shine to a few of the leaves, but to be honest, I like them best plain.

And I made a BUNCH.  (Anything worth doing, is worth overdoing…!)  I used a few on the card and the layout below, and the rest are going to adorn my Thanksgiving table when Nov 22 rolls around.  Maybe you still have some fall layouts to scrap? These pretty leaves might make a great embellishment for your page!
