Norine has been away in Italy (you must go read her blog and see her photos), and I am happy to say that her next little vacation is to come and see us and celebrate the grand opening of our new store in Winkler, Manitoba - Saturday, June 16 starting at 10 am. Since Norine has been home from her Italy vacation, she has whipped up something wonderful to show us.
Quoting Norine ~~ “I received some SWEET items from the Love is in the Details store last month but couldn’t play with them until I got home from our recent trip. So it was like a surprise all over again when I opened the box and dug out these yummy American Crafts Dear Lizzy product and those cute, cute stripe and polka dot bags!
I decided to make a bag into an envelope to send along with a matching card….and this is what I came up with.”
Quoting Norine ~~ “I stitched the bag closed using grey sewing thread, and the return address is on the back.”
Quoting Norine ~~ “Here’s the card that went in the “envelope”.”
Quoting Norine ~~ “Then, while my desk was still covered with all these pretty pastel colored bits and pieces, I put together this layout.”
Quoting Norine ~~ “Here are some of the detail shots, in particular, one showing the dotted tulle that is sewn down underneath the photo. It’s harder to see in a photo, but gives such a happy subtle effect when you see it in real life that I have a hard time not using it on every layout!”
Quoting Norine ~~ “These tags, paper and the paper flower embellishment are all Dear Lizzy product available in the store.”
Quoting Norine ~~ “The music collage paper (Pink Paislee - London Market) are available in the store as well.”
Norine, your creativity always amazes me, you can take something so simple and turn into something so fabulous. I adore how you changed the bag into an envelope - it’s just perfect. The layout, well, you know that I love it, and I must say that I especially love the colors of this Dear Lizzy line. I love what you did with the tulle, going to have to try this. Thank you for sharing these projects with us - they are absolutely divine.
