Creative Sunday ~~ Norine

Norine had some fun with Goosebumps texture spray, let’s take a look at what she created.

Quoting Norine ~~ “I did some experimenting with Goosebumps this week. I like what I discovered! This card has 2 examples of what you can do with Goosebumps. The background paper has had Goosebumps spritzed on a Tim Holtz sponge pad and daubed through a The Crafter’s Workshop script stencil. Then I colored with Tim Holtz distress ink to bring the resist to view. I also cut the hexagons from the My Mind’s Eye Follow Your Heart paper and completely covered the shapes with Goosebumps. It dries with the texture still evident, which I love! It elevates a boring die cut piece of paper to a really nice embellishment.”

Quoting Norine ~~ “Goosebumps on hexagon shapes cut from paper.”

Quoting Norine ~~ “Goosebumps on matte die cut image. (Hard to see the texture and glimmer, but it’s there.)”

Quoting Norine ~~ “These bazzill paper flowers and fabric flowers (orange one) have been sprayed with Goosebumps texture spray. Love the fresh new look it gives them!”

Quoting Norine ~~ “A detail shot of the glimmer on the paper flowers from Goosebumps.

Quoting Norine ~~ “Another detail shot of the Goosebumps glimmer on the paper flowers.”

Quoting Norine ~~ “Another card made with paper flowers from Bazzill Basics, sprayed with Goosebumps texture spray.”

Goosebumps has become one of my favorite products too.  I love what you have shown us Norine, thank you for taking the time to show us these different techniques.

Creative Sunday ~~ Chelsea

It’s May long weekend, what are you up to?  We have been busy packing and moving, we are getting so excited about having everything moved over to our new location so we can get organized and ready to open.  Boxes to pack, fixtures to move, pegboards, stands, spinning racks, etc. and I can’t wait to figure out where it’s all going to go in it’s new space.  That’s what we are up to!

Chelsea has been busy creating, you are going to love this …..

Quoting Chelsea ~~ “I have seen a few frames like this in scrappy magazines and online, and thought I would try doing one of my own! Most of the ones I saw didn’t have a background paper to it, but I wanted to make mine seem more like an actual picture, rather than just having things hanging from the frame at random. I like how the black frame makes the colors pop! This was very fun to do…. it’s now hanging in my entrance way!

I used some die cuts and stickers from various manufacturers that I had laying around in my drawers. Everything seemed to match with all of the fun, bright colors in the paper pack! The background paper I used from this pack (My Mind’s Eye On the Bright Side Kit #1) and I cut all of the other ‘die cuts’ from this paper pad (My Mind’s Eye On the Bright Side 6×6 Paper Pad Kit #2).”

Other 12×12 sheets with the wood pattern that would work are MME Dilly Dally Hello Border, MME Fiddlesticks Country, MME Fiddlesticks Farmhouse, MME Fiddlesticks Woodgrain, MME Howdy Doody Decorate, MME Howdy Doody Whitewash, MME Dolled Up Decorate, and MME Dolled Up Warn.

Die Cuts that would coordinate can be found here.

Chelsea, I love it, love absolutely everything about it, and I bet it looks fabulous in your entrance way!  Thanks so much for sharing your creativity with us!

Hope everyone is enjoying their long weekend!
