Creative Sunday ~~ Home

Home ….. I am such a homebody, but lately you would not know that.  I have been on the go steady for days, it seems like forever since I have had a day at home where I didn’t have to run somewhere.  I have enjoyed everywhere I have had to go, I just have been on the go a little bit more than I like to be.  When I saw this gorgeous banner that Chelsea made ….. Home ….. it made me smile, because home is where I needed to be today.

Quoting Chelsea ~~ “The papers in this Graphic 45 Old Curiosity Shoppe line work beautifully for home decor. Neutral, just a hint of color…. my livingroom needed some sprucing up with something new on the wall, so I decided to make a ‘home’ banner! I cut out my banner from old ‘chipboard’ that was left over from paper stacks, punched some holes in them and attached them together with twine.  I covered each one of the banner pieces with various papers from the Old Curiosity Shoppe line. I added some beautiful flowered ribbon onto the end pieces, and cut out some butterflies from the Butterfly Specifics patterned paper to use as embellishments.  I also used some of the chipboard pieces from the Tags sets. I found something in my stash from eons ago… FLOCK!!!!! I wanted big black alphas and had none, so I covered some plain chipboard letters in glue and sprinkled my flocking on…. I love how it turned out, and I can’t wait to have it placed on my wall in my livingroom!”

It’s gorgeous Chelsea, I love the colors, and it will become a beautiful piece in your home - fabulous creativity!
