Distress markers ~~ Lisa

Quoting Lisa ~~ “When Tim Holtz released his new Distress Markers at the Winter 2012 CHA show I was over the moon excited to get my hands on these! I love all the Distress products and these are no exception!

I made a couple of cards to share with you showing just two of the ways these wonderful markers can be used.”

Quoting Lisa ~~ “On this first card I stamped some flowers using Rangers Archival Ink in black, then colored the petals with two colors of distress. Once I had my color down I blended them together using a paint brush & water. This will be much easier once the Detail Water Brushes come in, and so convient to take to crops! When doing this technique it is key that you stamp your image with a permanent ink, if you use Distress Ink it will blend out when you are blending the petals.”

Quoting Lisa ~~ “For my second card I took a block stamp and colored it with the Distress Markers first then stamped the image. I love that these markers give you the ability to color differnt parts of the stamp in the colors of your choice!

Once I started playing I had to go back and pick up a few more colors! So pull out your markers and just start playing with them, I’m sure I’ll have more projects to share using these in the future!

There is still a great selection of Distress Markers in the store HERE, and Lori has more on order!! She also has a pre-order up for the whole set and a pre-order up for the empty case for those of us buying them a few at a time.  If you have any questions about the markers, cases, water brushes, etc. please contact Lori at loveisinthedetails@mts.net or click here to email her.”
