Creative Sunday ~~ Norine

This Sunday, I have something pretty awesome to show you from Norine ….. (click on any photo to enlarge)

Quoting Norine ~~ “I made this album using Heidi Swapp’s back to back technique and using the Follow Your Heart “Be Happy” paper line from My Mind’s Eye. I loved using this paper because their designs are like embellished pages that don’t need much more added to them to create a complete look. Quick and simple is very doable with this line. The Melissa Frances 5th Avenue die cuts coordinate beautifully as well! Each 12×12″ paper has been cut in half horizontally, and scored at the 4 1/2″ line or the 7 1/2″ line. The pages are then adhered so every other page is either long or short. The beauty of this design is full with pages with no seam or binding!! I’ve added embellishments of Pink Paislee mistable scallop ribbon (misted blue/green), Jenni Bowlin octagon stickers, paper doilies, an old Making Memories bookplate on the cover, October Afternoon Mini Market alphabet stickers, Prima canvas alphabet stickers, MME buttons and ephemera, American Crafts tags, Crate Paper brads, Follow Your Heart chipboard from MME and various washi tapes. All of the My Mind’s Eye line is available in the LiitD store.”

Quoting Norine ~~ “This page has a My Mind’s Eye Follow Your Heart transparency sheet laid along the left hand edge. It coordinates beautifully and so subtly with the paper line.”

Quoting Norine ~~ “the tags that show over the edge of this page and the previous (pg8) are glued together to form a tab for turning the page.”

Wow Norine, I have been needing some inspiration to get into my scraproom and after looking at this beautiful mini album, I most certainly feel the mojo setting in.  This album is perfect and stunning, and you are so right, the papers are so gorgeous, they do not need a lot of embellishing.  I love it, each and every page and detail is fabulous!

Linda, LindaG …..

Today I want to talk about one of our gals here on the forum at LIITD ……….. Linda, (Linda G).  I had the opportunity to meet this super special lady last October at our big fall crop.  She has become a friend, an inspiration, and I admire her and everything that she does.  I’m excited that I will get to see her again in just under two weeks as she is coming here for our spring crop.

Linda has a super busy life, and her escape is her scrapbooking room, she has created a space for herself to sneak away and enjoy this hobby.  She takes time almost every day to stop in and visit us at the forum, always so positive, so friendly, I know that each and every one of you would enjoy her company.  I wanted to take a moment to thank Linda for being a part of LIITD, for making all of us smile, for just being her.  And here is some of Linda’s beautiful work and a peek into her scraproom.

Thank you Linda for being a part of LIITD, your creativity is beautiful, you are amazing woman, and I am proud to call you a friend.
