Creative Sunday ~~ Lori

Good Morning everyone!  How are things this weekend?  It’s been a busy week around our house, many appointments and lots of driving from place to place, I was so glad to see the weekend arrive.  I am hoping to enjoy some home time today, looking forward to barbecuing for supper, and this afternoon, I think I might sneak into my scraproom, pick out a good old romantic movie on Netflix, and watch that while I work on a few little scrappy projects.

This week, besides the awesome K & Co. Smash products, a few other new products have arrived at LIITD, and I have been quite anxious to try them out.  I have a baby gift that needs wrapped and delivered, and I knew that a few of these new products would be perfect for them.

I couldn’t resist this cute little outfit and I thought these Dr. Seuss books would be perfect.

I decorated one of the medium white paper shoppers with the Melissa Frances blue and white tissue paper garland, (wow, there is lots in the packages of garland).  I cut felt with the ever so cute Sizzix medium bird die for the front of the gift bag.

I thought that our new Bitty Bags would be perfect for the board books, and slipped two board books in each bag.  I folded a paper doily over the top of the bitty bag and stapled.  Using the Labels One spellbinders die, I cut the blue and white labels out and adhered to the front of the bitty bags.  I cut felt using the adorable medium Sizzix baby elephant die and the medium Sizzix hippo die to complete the labels on the bags.

I wanted to make a card with a banner so I good use some of our new Divine Baker’s Twine.  The broken china distress stickles were the perfect match to go around the edge of the card.

I love how the gift package turned out, I think that the new Mom (and maybe Dad too) will have fun opening it.

New also to the store are these ever so cute notebook bitty bags - perfect for so many things.  I have decorated three - in the first one, I have some little scrappy goodies for a friend, the second one contains a secret little note for someone special, and the third one holds a gift card!  There is so many things these little notebook bitty bags could be used for ….. and they also would be awesome with the new K & Co. Smash books and products.

And, lastly, I decorated this new little grid bitty bag for a friend and cut out the girl on the phone tag and the  Hello Friend tag from the Melissa Frances Girlfriend Creative Scraps.  These little grid bitty bags are the same size as the notebook bitty bags and also the new yellow chevron bitty bags - and all of these bitty bags would be perfect for the new K & Co. Smash books and products.
