Dazzlers!!!

On Thursday and Friday, I was rearranging the Christmas goodies in the store, quite enjoying myself and having a close look at all the new stuff that has come in.  As I was hanging things on the hooks, my mind was filling with all kinds of ideas, but one that I knew I had to make right away was using a new product to LIITD - Dazzlers - and oh my, they are fantastic.  When I spotted this awesome sleigh from Riff Raff Designs I knew exactly what I was going to do.

In about two hours, I had my project completed.  I painted a small canvas blue, and while it was drying I “smooched” this awesome piece from Riff Raff (coming in a December kit near you) - Snow Drift - 12 inches long - it’s gorgeous.

I wanted the sleigh to be a deeper shade of brown than the actual chipboard color, and I have been wanting to try this walnut antiquing solution since it arrived in the store.  It was perfect - sprayed and colored exactly how I wanted.  Next I mixed three colors of glitter - white, blue and gold - with some modge podge and then painted this mixture over the painted canvas.  Once dry, I added all of the pieces, and here is my final project.

I just love the Dazzlers - I love that they are already glittered and that the glitter does not fall off.  They are foam backed and self adhesive (and the adhesive works).  The pictures of the dazzlers on the shopping page don’t do them any justice at all - they are all gorgeous.  I can’t wait to try more.

Maya Mist ….. votes are in ….. it’s awesome!

So, it’s time to get back in the habit of regular blogging.  It’s been a little hectic at the LIITD store - an awesome kind of hectic - lots of new goodies and lots of happy shoppers ….. and I do believe I am finally caught up with the listing of new products on the shopping page.

Today I want to tell you more and show you more about Maya Mist - which is fastly becoming a very popular product.  For those of you that are not familiar with it, or are unsure, I hope the following photos/examples will help show you how fantastic this product is.

Firstly, let’s take a look at Norine Borys’ awesome layouts.  Norine was skeptical about Maya Mist until she read this.  She went out and bought some and now ….. from Norine ….. “As far as I’m concerned if they introduce 50 new colors in MM, I will buy them ALL!”

Lisa and Amber did the Maya Mist demo at out big crop at the beginning of November - it was fabulous - everyone did a chipboard Maya Road snowflake from this coaster album.  The Maya Mist dries so fast - and everyone was finished their snowflake in no time.

Amber has made a super cute card and has used Maya Mist on the alphas, the holly, and the berries.  Isn’t the coverage just fantastic?

I don’t know if you have tried Maya Mist or not - but as you can see - it is fastly becoming a favorite product.  It is so easy to use, the colors are great, it dries so quickly, and your paper or cardstock does not curl - it stays completely flat.  The regular colors are great, and the metallic colors add a little bit of shine and shimmer - both are perfect.

We currently have several colors in stock here and will be bringing more in.  If you would like a certain color(s) that you do not see, please let us know.  If you have any questions, please ask.

And now I would like to say “Hi everyone!, how are you?”  I have not been here at the blog in over a week, but I will now be back to regular blogging - hoping to be here as often as possible before Christmas.  I’m really looking forward to that - hoping to share ideas, recipes, and lots of Christmas and holiday fun.

Oh ….. one more thing before I sign off ….. check out the Jillibean Soup blog ….. our Creative Team is being showcased there today.  Awesome stuff gals!
